Core/Primary Enterprise Network
S2S can
deliver a primary, core enterprise network solution on a turn-key
basis, extending the corporate LAN and creating mission critical secure
connectivity between the corporate data center and satellite locations.
We will custom design, engineer, deploy and manage all aspects of your
core network, including qualification, selection and mass provisioning
of site-specific telecom transport and specification, configuration,
staging and deployment of network devices, including enabling Unified
Threat Management (UTM) security features, such as fire wall, AV, IPS
and content filtering. Security policies and configurations are
precisely aligned with customer requirements for both internal and
regulatory standards and mandates. Once deployed, S2S can manage all
aspects of the core/primary network life-cycle and security, including
monitoring, trouble-shooting, break-fix, move/add/change/delete (MACD)
and upgrade, from our “follow-the-sun,” 24x7x365 Global Operations and
Security Operations Centers.
Extension of Core/Primary
Enterprise Network
S2S can
extend an existing, incumbent core network (be it MPLS, Frame Relay or
other carrier/industrial grade transport) to reach new, existing,
temporary or co-located branch or remote office locations.
(Alternatively, and for a fraction of the cost, S2S can replace
carrier-grade networks in cases where it makes business sense, for
example where no VoIP, video or other CoS-sensitive application is
regularly in use). Once deployed, S2S can manage all aspects of the
extended core/primary network life-cycle and security, including
monitoring, trouble-shooting, break-fix, move/add/change/delete (MACD)
and upgrade, from our “follow-the-sun,” 24x7x365 Global Operations and
Security Operations Centers.
Back-Up/Redundant Enterprise Network
Most
enterprises already have an installed core/primary enterprise network,
such as MPLS or Frame Relay. These carrier-grade networks are typically
characterized by “five 9s” reliability. Nonetheless, these networks are
not immune to failure and the enterprise can ill-afford to be without a
back-up network when they do (customers who have deployed a dial
back-up solution to their carrier-grade core networks, such as ISDN,
are increasingly recognizing the inadequacy of narrow-band for business
continuity). In such cases, S2S can deliver a back-up/redundant network
solution on a turn-key basis, extending the corporate LAN and creating
mission critical secure connectivity between the corporate data center
and the satellite locations for fail-over scenarios where the core
network is disabled, experiencing acute or chronic latency or needs to
be suspended for testing and/or maintenance. We will custom design,
engineer, deploy and manage all aspects of your back-up/redundant
network, including qualification, selection and mass provisioning of
site specific telecom transport and specification, configuration,
staging and deployment of network devices, including enabling Unified
Threat Management (UTM) security features, such as fire wall, AV, IPS
and content filtering. Security policies and configurations are
precisely aligned with customer requirements for both internal and
regulatory standards and mandates. Once deployed, S2S can manage all
aspects of the back-up/redundant network life-cycle and security,
including monitoring, trouble-shooting, break-fix,
move/add/change/delete (MACD) and upgrade, from our “follow-the-sun,”
24x7x365 Global Operations and Security Operations Centers.

WWAN
S2S offers
full WWAN services utilizing 3G mobile data networks for fixed-point
Internet access. Due to cost and performance characteristics, the WWAN
solution is better utilized as a redundant, rather than a primary,
access solution where other forms of broadband access may not be
available or feasible. Assuming wireless signal is available, S2S can
specify, configure, stage and deploy network devices. Once deployed,
S2S can manage all aspects of the WWAN network life-cycle and security,
including monitoring, trouble-shooting, break-fix,
move/add/change/delete (MACD) and upgrade, from our “follow-the-sun,”
24x7x365 Global Operations Center.
Disaster Recovery and Business
Continuity
Network
connectivity is essential to business continuity. Placing an enterprise
network in the hands of a single telecom carrier concentrates
enterprise risk. Companies with both primary and back-up network
solutions do mitigate the risk of individual transport failure. Best
practices, however, are to insure that they deploy primary and back-up
transport from diverse carriers so as to achieve risk mitigation in
both means of transport and in transport provider. By virtue of our
corporate independence and non-affiliation with any major telecom
carrier/ISP, we are able to offer diversification of suppliers, where
physically possible, through the entire telecom supply-chain. In
maintaining wholesale-buyer relationships with the widest array of
cable, DSL and other telecom transport providers, we are able to
deliver higher network reliability and greater connectivity options to
our customers.
"Smart" Network Performance,
Optimization and Load Balancing
Where dual
connectivity to a corporate location exists, S2S can engineer
“application-aware” routing solutions designed to reflect corporate
priorities in terms of data transport. The use of such “smart
networking” to achieve load balancing is an effective tool in managing
the ever-increasing demands placed on the performance of enterprise
networks.
Mobile/Remote User Access
S2S can
provide instant, secure, authenticated access for the increasing
population of mobile/remote end-users to the corporate LAN via standard
Internet browser, without any software to install or maintain. This
solution is typically used by employees and contractors who require
granular remote access to confidential data or business applications.
Our managed SSL VPN solution enables the enterprise to create secure
application and systems access from both trusted users (corporate PC
assets) and untrusted users (contractor/vendor and unmanaged PCs). S2S
will custom design, engineer, deploy and manage all aspects of this
access solution, including requirements, specification, configuration,
staging and deployment of network device(s) based on an assessment of
specific enterprise security and policy requirements. Once deployed,
S2S can manage all aspects of the access solution life-cycle and
security, including monitoring, trouble-shooting, break-fix,
configuration management and upgrade, from our “follow-the-sun,”
24x7x365 Security Operations Center.

Outsourced Network Management
Many
companies have pre-existing branch or remote office telecom
connectivity and/or deployed network devices but have made a business
decision to outsource management of this network to a trusted third
party. S2S can deliver a fully outsourced connectivity and/or managed
network solution on a turn-key basis. Working with the ISPs and
carriers, we can assume direct management of existing, installed
circuits (including performing a consolidated billing function) and
create the operational environment necessary to assume management of
network devices. Once deployed, S2S can manage all aspects of
connectivity and network life-cycle and security, including monitoring,
trouble-shooting, break-fix, move/add/change/delete (MACD) and upgrade,
from our “follow-the-sun,” 24x7x365 Global Operations and Security
Operations Centers.
Event Logging, PCI Adherence and
Network Security
S2S can
provide a comprehensive network and security event logging/reporting
solution, offering customers complete visibility into access, network
and security events taking place at the device level. Detailed event
logging constitutes the IT infrastructure necessary to support internal
corporate audit/compliance as well as external audit/compliance with
regulatory or industry standards, such as PCI. Once the solution is
deployed, S2S collects and stores event information at our 24x7x365,
“follow-the-sun,” Security Operation Center. Customers can specify
levels of granularity in event capture and reporting and can access
their network event logging information anytime from anywhere via a
secure, web-based interface.

CIO Network Management and Operational
Portal
S2S can
provide full network transparency and visibility at the executive
and/or technical level through secure customer access to its web-based,
at-a-glance, operational dashboard, reflecting the current status of
managed assets and network connectivity. The dashboard may also be
tailored to meet certain customer-specific reporting requirements. This
dashboard is dynamic and interactive and is also used for service
change requests, incident management (including trouble ticketing) and
performance tracking against applicable service levels.
